Soft light, tiny details, and a whole lot of love (and very little sleep). My newborn sessions are designed to feel calm and unrushed, so you breathe and simply be with your baby while I document the sweetness of it all.
My approach is baby led and comfort first. I'll guide you gently through natural moments and connection with your little one, snuggling, feeding, rocking, and the way you look at your baby without even realizing it. No pressure. No perfection. Just honest, beautiful memories of your family as you are right now.
Sessions are available in your home, outdoors if weather allows, or in studio by request (limited availability) in Northern VA, Maryland, or DC. If you feel a connection to my work, I'd be honored to help you remember these first days exactly as they felt.

My newborn sessions are lifestyle, which means relaxed and cozy, gentle, and focused on connection. I don’t place babies in unnatural or forced poses. Instead, I follow your little one’s lead, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks whenever needed.
That is completely okay. These sessions are baby-led and I plan extra time for feeding, soothing, diaper changes, and snuggles. Awake photos can be just as beautiful, and I'll be guiding you the whole time.
For in home sessions, I’ll share an easy prep checklist - simple things like letting in natural light, clearing a couple surfaces, and setting aside any meaningful items you’d love photographed. You don’t need to deep clean. I want you to feel comfortable, present, and at ease in your space with your baby.
The ideal window is usually within the first 7-21 days after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and snuggly. That said, beautiful newborn photos can happen outside that window too, up to 1-2 months with a lifestyle approach, and can also be as early as 48 hours old. I recommend reserving your spot based on your due date, and then we’ll confirm the exact date once baby arrives.
